Women Wisdom and Wonder

Women, Wisdom and Wonder is an experiential learning journey for young women (age 21-35) to discover their source power and how this supports the unique contribution they can make in the world.

In circle together for one year beginning Autumn 2021, we will cycle through the 8 sacred festivals of ancient tradition, deepening our connection to the rhythms of the earth and to our own inner rhythms.

Developing self-awareness about our personal patterns and power dynamics, we will map how these correspond to the larger evolutionary movements of the feminine, in search of a healthy, life-affirming balance of the divine feminine and the divine masculine.

We will explore themes around trust, intuition, self-love, body-joy, creativity, relationship, work, belief, destiny and time. We will delight in becoming more of our true selves and see how that brings us into closer contact with our companions and our purpose in the wider world.

Women, Wisdom and Wonder is hosted by GenerativeWork.Space and led by Sarah James Wright. Each session will draw from a blend of learning, stories, sharing, awareness practices, movement, handcrafts, nature walks and rituals of connection to the feminine. You will have Sarah’s love, support and guidance throughout the journey, as well as that of the other women in the circle. We will create platforms for keeping in contact and sharing resources between sessions, and you can contact Sarah at any time with questions or concerns.

The Journey comprises 8 facilitated sessions, timed to celebrate the passage of the seasons as we learn, plus 3 self-led check-ins. Zoom sessions will be recorded for anyone who cannot attend. We are including the option for some in-person sessions to take place in nature.

Leading Beyond Lockdown

Leadership is always a tussle between management and strategy, between fire-fighting the latest crisis and developing the vision, working in the business and working on the business. The current climate has increased the tension in this trade off. Our attention is pulled right to the very brink of our organisation’s survival and there is no more normal day-to-day. We are in possibly the most acute existential crisis our species has ever collectively faced, and constantly battling with a fog of fear – Are my loved ones safe? Can I make ends meet? Will I survive the crash? Is that tickle in my throat the start of something more serious?

And yet, as we are pulled right into the heart of crisis management, there is also the opportunity to explore the other pole. When the status quo breaks down, it is easier to think outside the box. We can use this unprecedented time to re-envision our business, test out new strategies and make use of the freedom to let go of old ways of doing things. In fact, now we can truly let loose our imagination on the whole future of work! I see articles daily on how this pandemic will be the opportunity to create a new future, and an equal number of articles saying don’t bet on it, it will be just like before. So who decides? If this is a pivotal moment, what is that calling up in you? What is the future you want to create?

This post poses the question: With business as usual on pause, can we expand our sense of leadership to include awareness of the intricately interconnected systems we live in?

Next OpenDialogue – 13 Feb

For OpenDialogue #3, we open up the theme of the Masculine and Feminine, which has appeared with surprising force in multiple client systems and in creative conversation with collaborators. As a duo, we have been experimenting and dancing with this distinct and dynamic polarity.

You are invited to enrich this dialogue with your own discoveries and experiences of the theme: at a Universal level of archetypal creativity; at a System level of masculine workplace/social culture and re-emerging feminine leadership values; and at a Self level increasing our awareness of male/female interactions. The dialogue question is…

How can we engage with the primordial creative forces of the Masculine and Feminine – in ourselves, in our partnerships and in client systems – so that we can work with Life’s full power?

Please join us in a generative conversation on this theme on Wednesday 13 February, 12pm-1pm (GMT). Register interest and we’ll send the video call link.

About OpenDialogues  In moving towards more conscious ways of working, we enter a meaningful and mysterious realm of exploration. We’re confronted with life-changing ideas about our intelligent universe – as redefined by scientific developments – and also about our place as human beings with a specific evolutionary purpose. In this series of lunchtime video calls, we are going to go into the heart of some key questions about human potential and our role in facing the tumultuous changes and evolutionary challenges posed in business and society.
