Think Differently

A Letter to our Future Clients

Please don’t ask us to change your organisation.

There are so many assumptions in that request that the effort is likely to be doomed from the start. Which may explain why so many change initiatives fail, or are measured in such a way as to obscure their failure.

Rather, ask us to get to know your organisation.

Ask us to assess its current health and readiness to walk its path to the future.

Ask us to discover its hidden strengths and blind spots and to hear the full choir of its many voices.

Ask us to find movement when it gets stuck.

Ask us to listen in to the whispers on the wind about what is calling to it from the future.

Ask us to see who belongs here now, and who may be acknowledged for their part and allowed to gracefully leave.

Ask us who is coming.

Ask us what unites your organisation, what fires its passions, what its soul longs for.

Ask us where it sits in its lifecycle and what is the next step to open its fullest potential.

Ask us to explore its impact, both current and potential – its impact internally on the people, soul and history within – and its impact externally, on the marketplace, community and ecosystem that it’s part of.

Ask us to explore where your organisation sits in the sea change to a deeper and more holistic paradigm of conscious business.

But do not ask us to change it.

Embracing Uncertainty

We are delighted to announce an exciting new workshop taking place on 17 March 2018: Embracing Uncertainty – Tools for Navigating in a Crazy World. Recognising the increasingly unpredictable, unexpected happenings shaping our world, we felt inspired to bring a very different and creative lens – to offer another way of being with uncertainty.

The Back Story… A huge part of that inspiration came from Andrea Foà, whose spontaneous and playful interventions at the last OpenSpace brought another dimension to the constellations – creating an unforgettable, humorous and thought-provoking picture of a manager and her organisation! As an experienced performance artist, clown and organisational disrupter, Andrea’s edgy, provocateur abilities are a wonderful counterpart to our own way of working with wholeness and human fields of interconnection.

In this workshop, we will guide you to discover a different kind of agency in the face of overwhelm and discomfort. The purpose is to experience your own edge, and to bring you to greater freedom and a feeling of expanded potential.

New threshold for Generative Work

Today, we are delighted to announce a new phase for Generative Work.Space. Having worked together for several years developing our ideas and beginning to test them with our existing coaching and facilitation clients, we are now ready to create a bespoke vehicle to take this work into the world. We are creating a Company Limited by Shares that will be both a Social Enterprise and a ‘B Corporation’ (Benefit Corporation), as we feel this best fits our values and our vision for conscious business. It has been an interesting journey to find the right legal constitution for what we want to achieve, and we will say more about the choices we’ve made in due course, as they come to completion.

Our shared intent and the purpose of our work together is to serve life and to create the conditions for conscious living and being. This work is evolving and will involve ongoing research & development, prototyping and also teaching, in order to be seeded and embedded in the human systems we serve. This is the development of conscious capacities in ourselves, our people and leaders and in projects & organisations.

We look forward to sharing much more about this in the coming months, but for now we are marking this important threshold moment for Generative Work.Space and thanking all of those who have supported and encouraged us and helped us to develop the work that we love.
